Question of the Week: COMPASSION

Where are you sending compassion to?

My compassion lies in the volunteer work I do with the animals at my local shelter. All they needs is love and compassion! There also needs to be compassion for the person/people who have to surrender their furry family member. Many times it is out of difficult times. They too need to be shown compassion.

What other posters had to say:

Sending out compassion to the people of the fire that lost animals. And send out a big thank you to UCDAVIS for lending such a big hand and the people of Napa especially for rallying with such love and commitment to support your fleeing neighbors.

compassion to the fire victims here in Northern California. I know this is not an easy time.

My patients are suffering injuries that won't kill them but truly affect their day to day living and enjoyment. I feel compassion for my patient I diagnosed last week with an ACL tear interfering with volleyball this year, the patient I had to console after spraining her knee tripping down stairs and my young patient who suffered a concussion last week in soccer. Recovery is hard. Lucky to guide them through it.

I find myself compassionate toward innocent , everyday folks swept up in unforeseen tragic circumstances. That also goes for their animals. heart emoticon

Sending out compassion to the fire victims in Lake County as well as my boss whos mother is reaching the end of her life on this plane.

To friends and their families who are battling various health conditions.

Compassion is needed to young and old students who feel alone in the face of facing learning. If you helped your kids with homework , consider the students who don't get that help and support!

As a child protection social worker I try to give as much compassion as I can to the families I work with even in the most difficult situations.

Compassion to others comes easy but turning it towards myself is my most difficult task. To be embraced in the arms of self-compassion and self-love is the journey I'm on.

I'm sending out a thank you to Sonia Lub who always shows up for community. She is donating 15% of her proceeds direct to the valley fire victims. Her jewelry is beautiful, powerful, and graceful just like she is. @sonia lub designs
